Mena Alexa Suvari was born on the 29th of September, 1979. She is an American fashion designer, model and actress. Shortly after beginning her career as a model, she moved into acting, after appearing in guest roles on 1990's programs on television like Boy Meets World and High Incident. She made her film debut in 1997's drama film Nowhere. She made the transition to major roles with her performances in American Beauty for which she was nominated for a BAFTA Award and American Pie and American Pie, both of which gained more attention. Her next role was Loser (2000), with American Pie actor Jason Biggs. Later she played the lead role for the film Sugar & Spice (2002). The film also featured her in the 2002 independent drama Spun and in the 2004 thriller feature Trauma. In addition, she was a part of drama series on HBO Six Feet Under in 2004 she was nominated as the Best Cast of the 2005 Screen Actors Guild Awards. In 2008 her filmography included Day of the Dead The Mysteries of Pittsburgh as well as the adaptation from The Garden of Eden and a number of other films.
